we are lucky enough to have a decorator in the family and on sunday he is hopping on a plane {with brush in hand-luggage} from across the water to stay a week with us and whizz round our house to do most of the rooms. i am a little overwhelmed to say the least at the necessity to make multiple decisions on paint colours + wallpapers. i am a hopeless decision maker. so as usual i am leaving it to the very last minute to choose.
i have many many samples {see above} that are currently taped around the house. for the kitchen...our bedroom...and the sitting room. i am loving the prospect of a wall of pattern in these rooms. i am also hoping to learn the art of papering from an expert. top left is so very abigail..are you by any chance freelancing for marimekko miss percy?
paint though? all i know is i am very drawn to f+b arsenic in the kitchen.
a few before + afters will be in order. watch this space.
oh + thank you for the image size guidance comments...i will have a go!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful wallpapers. Those are so my colours and subjects. Leaves & birds. Love the Sanderson ones, the Woodgrain and the blue tits. Good luck with the decision. I've still got samples stuck up since August... no choice yet made. Lou x
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about having to make multiple decisions. it's hard enough to make just one isn't it?! When we did our house recently I got myself in such a lather about making all the decisions and worrying about making mistakes I would regret. All I can say is, go with your gut instinct. Go with something you LOVE and you will be so pleased you did. We went for different shades of grey around the entire house so it all links together.
ReplyDeleteLove your choices...good luck and can't wait to see what you decide on ;-)
I love them all! So pretty!x
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see which ones you went for. So pleased to see you blogging again.
ReplyDeleteI can testify that Elsa is completely mesmerising and your absence completely understood.
The shop still smells of rosemary

Hi darling,
ReplyDeletegood to have you back, you've been pretty busy I know but she's worth it!!!
Good luck with the wallpaper selection, it might be last minute but it will look great!
love M x
You lucky thing, wish I had a someone that will even walk around the corner never mind flying to come and do my house!! Lovely paper you have there. I am a great undecider as well and it takes me ages to make my mind up.
ReplyDeleteMight I suggest 'china cup' paint, on first glance it looks like off white chalk, but has a greenish hue - exactly like a vintage china cup. Would look lovely with wallpaper bottom right!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck
Absolutely love the nineteen-fifties style flowers wallpaper!! But they are all so pretty- very hard to choose!!!
ReplyDeleteHello Kelly,
ReplyDeleteArsenic is the colour of our bathroom and I love it. But yes, definitely a small doses kind of a colour. Welcome back, I do enjoy your lovely blog.
